On 2nd October, we held our second joint Neighbourhood Team Meeting with over 70 people in attendance.
It was great to see such a wide range of attendees from our schools, voluntary sector and statutory organisations. We advertised the start as 10am, however people were arriving from 9am to chat and network, always a positive sign, and an indication of how vital these meetings are.
Following introductions we had 4 spotlights on specific groups or organisations then divided into two workshop sessions. Shepton Mallet Town Council have commissioned research into youth provision so one group focused on that, something already highlighted as a priority for the area, whilst the others looked at the drug and alcohol issues in Frome.
Reports from both workshops will be available soon.
The next joint meeting will be in January 2026, event details will be uploaded on this neighbourhood team page.
