11. West Somerset Neighbourhood Team
West Somerset is a beautiful, safe, and friendly place. However, it has some challenges for the community and young people.
About our neighbourhood
Welcome to the West Somerset Neighbourhood Team page. My name is Paul Matcham, and I’m the Connect Somerset Champion for West Somerset. I work with Minehead Eye, a youth and community centre in Somerset.
West Somerset is a beautiful, safe, and friendly place. However, it has some challenges for the community and young people. The area is spread out, and many rural parts are hard to reach. This makes it difficult for people to find housing, services, and jobs. Because of these issues, West Somerset is considered one of the 20% most deprived areas in the country.
