Hello! I’m Cecily, the cheerful and friendly micro provider behind A Positive Difference.
I’ve been committed to making a positive impact in people’s lives as a micro provider since November 2023 and it’s been an incredibly rewarding journey so far.
Passion for People – I have a genuine interest in people and the unique stories they have to tell. I believe that everyone is important. I believe in the power of community. It’s this passion and commitment that drives me to support individuals in maintaining their independence and dignity within the comfort of their own homes.
Peace of Mind – I understand the importance of peace of mind for both individuals and their families. Having experienced the benefits first hand with my own parents, I am dedicated to providing that same sense of security and assurance to all those I work with.
Services
- Housework & Decluttering: Domestic chores. General cleaning, laundry, ironing, whatever jobs you need support with. Maintaining a clean,organised and homely living space.
- Gardening: Tidying, trimming, grass cutting, weeding, planting.
- Admin Support: Assisting with paperwork and administrative tasks Meal Preparation: Ensuring nutritious and delicious meals are prepared.
- Shopping Assistance: Making trips to the shops for necessities. Either with you or for you.
- Appointment Accompaniment: Providing support during medical or other appointments.
- Companionship: Being a friendly and caring companion.I delight in getting to know people and chatting about interests. Doing crosswords, hobbies, getting out and about out or taking you to meet friends. Just spending some time together.
- Local trips out Hobbies & Crafts: Supporting and engaging in hobbies, arts, and crafts.
- Dog walking hand and foot massages (at no extra cost to clients, included in hourly rate and can be incorporated on a visit): Low cost bodywork for relaxation, stress relief and pain relief for carers. Can offer mobile massage fully clothed, facial acupressure massage, chair massage.Speak to me for more information and to address your needs.

At A Positive Difference, I believe that small, thoughtful actions can lead to significant improvements in daily life. I strive to create an environment where individuals feel empowered, comfortable, and cared for. It’s my goal to brighten up people’s day with warmth and happiness.
I live in Coleford, Somerset with my teenage son. My background as a complementary health therapist, street theatre performer and in community arts, is anchored in connection, compassion, wellbeing and in a joy of hearing and sharing stories. I enjoy time on my allotment and I am learning the trumpet.
