I am 46 year old female independent Care Provider and Personal Assistant Health Aide based in Sherborne.
I have vast experience with Special educational needs youth and adults and have worked in schools as a Special Educational Needs teacher for 15 years.
With a good base of a lengthy experience in providing care for highly vulnerable children with multiple and complex learning and medical needs, I have moved forward to working as a full time professional carer for vulnerable adults, youth and the elderly.
I am particularly experienced in supporting people with:
- chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- parkinson’s
- brain damage
- down syndrome
- autism
- epilepsy
- challenging behaviour
- anxiety issues
- with fitted vagus nerve stimulation
- mobility issues and more.
I am a calm, patient, well organised and grounded person. I have the training and the experience to stay calm and coordinated under demanding situations.
I give people the time they need to communicate what they need, I respect their views and follow the Code of Conduct for quality care.
I have a flexible approach to work and have worked quite well with carers and other professionals or persons involved in every situation. Respect for confidentiality and privacy.
I am interested to take up live-in carer calls but also domiciliary care and outdoor respite. I have a car insured for business purposes, a clean licence and I am a very good driver as I have been told by people I worked with.
I am easy to talk to, very sociable but also discrete. DBS, Contract, References, Personal Insurance and Personal Care Plans are all available.
I offer outdoor respite, transportation, overnight stay, live-in care, help with shopping, gardening and day trips, engagement in communication and companionship, personal care, meal preparation and feeding.
