Personal Profile
Firstly, please let me introduce myself. My name is Ian and I have been living in the village of South Petherton since December 2008.
My family and I moved here after I completed 22 years’ service in the Royal Navy in the Fleet Air Arm as an Aircraft Handler. I then was employed at Leonardo (formerly Westland Helicopters) in Yeovil for a further 14 years before taking early retirement in summer 2022.
With my wife Sarah still being at work, I find I still have lots of spare time in my day to help and assist others. My interest in becoming a micro provider was suggest to me by an elderly client that I help locally. I still care and assist her 93-year-old husband along with two other clients also in South Petherton.
My Father died at a young age back in 2010, so I had to take on the responsibility of my mother’s health and needs until her passing in 2018.
I am a friendly, trustworthy, reliable person with good timekeeping.
I can offer limited (to be agreed with the Client) personal care. I will take on most roles either in the home or outdoors including any shopping requirements, hospital visits or other medical appointments.
I can offer evening and weekend hours by arrangement, but do not do sleepovers.
I offer work and personal references to all clients on request.
I have an enhanced DBS certificate that expires April 2026 and public liability insurance.
