My name is Jo Millbrook. I have worked for Somerset County Council in social care for nearly 20 years and qualified as a social worker in 2018. I spent 18 years of those working with the children and families section and worked in various departments including Looked After Children, Contact Supervisor, Safeguarding and also worked as a support worker in a residential setting.
I transferred to Adult Social Care in 2021 where I worked out of both Yeovil District, and Bath Royal United hospitals. In these acute hospitals I worked with the discharge team, aiming to get those medically fit either back home with a package of care or into a residential setting.
I am approachable, honest and motivated to support you and your family and am happy to work together to create a support plan that provides you with the support you require. My services include general home and community support. This includes: Service user led activities, Conversation and companionship; Trips out, Support with various appointments, Cooking/Meal preparation, Shopping, with or on behalf of the client, Support with dog walks and pet care, Sitting service, Running errands as well as light domestic and gardening duties, if equipment supplied.
