A bit about me!
My name is Jacqueline Duncan, I am a 59-year-old lady from Trull, I have 2 daughters who are now grown up and live oversees. I am married to Simon who is a local village handyman. I enjoy modern jive dancing, gardening and growing my own produce. Spending time outdoors in the countryside, whilst walking my dog. Most importantly, providing care to those who need. My family, and friends describe me as loving, kind, trustworthy, calm with a good sense of humour!
I am a caring, friendly, and versatile professional with over 35 years’ experience in providing tailored patient care to meet all aspects of their nutritional, physical and emotional wellbeing.
During my 32+ years in the care sector, I have worked in a varied range of care environments and with a range of client groups. This has left me with an extensive range of experience and professional care skills which can now benefit the community clients I work with. I will be offering a range of care in my client’s homes, whilst remaining as bank staff in Musgrove Park Hospital, where I worked during the height of the pandemic. I have also nursed a lovely lady who had a terminal cancer illness for 6 months until she sadly passed away. That experience made me see that I still have much to offer as a community Health Care Professional. Recently I decided to follow my own dreams and ambitions and set up my own care company with the goal of building my own reputation and providing a care to my clients to the high standards in which I would expect for my own loved ones.
I take pride in making a real difference to a person’s life and use a patient orientated approach in the delivery of any care and services and commit fully to all clients under my supervision.
Care is not only a career for me but a passion in which I enjoy the relationship building aspect of the job, in particular forming bonds with service users and thereby learning how to care for them better and be more attentive to their specific needs.
When caring for my clients I also take pride in building relationships with the families and loved ones. I understand fully the importance of communication and always introduce communication books into my client’s homes for the families but also other carers to keep a continuous flow of care.
I offer my care and support predominantly in my local Village of Trull and surrounding areas.
