I have worked in the Care industry since I was 18. I started working in a residential home where I worked for three years and worked up the ladder and became a night shift senior, training new members of staff to high standards of care. Once I left the home to widen my knowledge, I worked for a care company in the community for 7 years. This increased my knowledge hugely. Dealing with suitations and working along other proffessional bodies. Working in the community, my job role included, prompting medication, personal care, nutrition, companionship and promoting a good well being for those in their own homes. After gaining more experience in the community, I worked in a nursing home, gaining more knowledge and caring for complex needs. I was a senior carer and my job role included assisting with medication, peg feeding, personal care, managing other carers, working alongside District Nurses, end of life care and having the responsiblity of running a night Shift. I have worked with people that have been diagnosed with Parkinsons, Dementia, people with head injuries, autism and many more. I feel confident within my job role with all the experience I have gained working in different care environments. I live local to cannington. I am happy to travel to the surrounding areas.
