I have been working in care for the past 20 years supporting adults with learning disabilities both in residential and supported living homes.
Caring for my mum who had vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s was a large part of my life for four years. During this time, I would support her with personal care, ensuring her medications were given correctly, cleaning, cooking, washing, ironing and emotional support for my Mum and her partner.
Even though my experience is with dementia I am confident to support older adults.
I am punctual, reliable, trustworthy, hardworking, patient and will be sympathetic and supportive to both the customer and families and friends needs.
Dignity and respect will be given at all times.
