Hello, my name is Nikki. I am a warm, friendly, caring person. I offer a flexible responsive, person-centered support service, that gives people choice and control over the support they would like.
I have set up this service for people who need care or support to independently live a full life and keep well in their own home and be part of their community. I want to offer a range of care to meet your needs and that will be exactly how you want it to be. I am offering a consistent service with the same friendly caring person at the times and days that suit you.
I am passionate about helping people to stay well and improving their health and well-being! I also love to meet new people and hear their stories.
I have spent most of my working life helping people to live the best life they can. I have a professional background as a qualified counsellor and hypnotherapist improving people’s health and wellbeing, together with experience in care and support work covering all ages. I also take meditation, relaxation classes and teach stress-reduction techniques.
I have worked as a counsellor, children’s nanny, residential support worker for people recovering from addiction, community care worker with older adults and a health care support worker in hospital, as well as housekeeper/cleaner.
I am offering help with
•Cooking meals or providing you whatever help you need to cook or bake.
•Shopping for you or taking you out and about, whether for a walk, appointment, or drive in the car to get a cuppa and cake.
•Supporting activities to help you achieve your goals and maintain interests, hobbies, leisure, wellbeing, and social opportunities.
•Companionship sitting service to keep you company.
•Listening ear to be able to talk things through.
•Help with your pets.
•Help around the house such as cleaning and laundry.
•Basic administration and help with the computer or internet.
I have completed the Care Certificate and hold certificates on medication administration, manual handling, safeguarding, basic life support and health and safety. I also have diplomas in Advanced Counselling, Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy and Administration.
I have an up-to-date enhanced DBS and I am registered with Somerset County Council Micro-providers and have public liability insurance.
I will come out to visit you or your loved ones in the first instance for free consultation. This will determine what support you need and will result in a support plan to meet your needs and wishes.
