Hello, I’m Declan, and caring for others isn’t just my job – it’s my passion.
With over 10 years of experience in the care industry, I’ve worked as a care worker, senior carer, and care manager.
After eight years in these roles, I decided to start my own micro-enterprise, allowing me to focus on what truly matters – providing high-quality, person-centred care to my clients. What makes working with a micro-provider special? It’s the personal touch. You’ll always know who is supporting you, and together, we’ll build a relationship based on trust, consistency, and companionship.
You won’t just be a client to me – you’ll be someone I truly care about. I’m 34 years old and live in Yeovil with my fiancé, my 8-year-old daughter, and my 2-year-old son. Family means everything to me, and I bring that same warmth and dedication into the care I provide. I take pride in my work, paying attention to the smallest details because I know they make the biggest difference – whether it’s ensuring you feel comfortable and confident in your appearance, preparing a home-cooked meal, or simply making you a great cup of tea while we chat.
Services I offer:
- Personal Care – Helping you get ready for the day, including washing and dressing, with attention to the details that matter to you—your hairstyle, your favourite clothes, your personal preferences.
- Appointments and Outings – I have a full driver’s licence and a wheelchair-accessible car, so whether it’s a medical appointment, shopping trip, or social visit, I can assist.
- Companionship and Sitting Service – If your family needs a break, I’m more than happy to provide friendly, engaging company.
- Meal Preparation – Cooking is one of my favourite hobbies, and my family tells me I’m not too bad at it. I’d love to help with meal planning, preparation, and making sure you enjoy nutritious, home-cooked food.
- Pet Care – I adore animals, so if your furry family members need feeding, walking, or even a trip to the vet, I’m happy to help.
- End-of-Life Care – Supporting individuals and their families during this part of life’s journey is an honour, and I provide compassionate, respectful care during these times.
I was honoured to be a finalist and winner of the 2019 “Health Care Assistant of the Year” award, and I continue to expand my knowledge, keeping up to date with the latest in care practices, equipment, and medication.
I have full liability insurance, a clean DBS, full mandatory training, and I’m insured to transport passengers.
