About the hubs

Hubs play an important role in a local area with an offer of help for families and residents.

Connect Somerset are supporting 12 hubs and many spokes across Somerset to promote more early help, drop-ins and support, especially where there are gaps in available support. This fantastic network of hubs and spokes will connect the most vulnerable families and residents to their local community resources.

As Somerset is big and rural, there are differing existing offers across the county including gaps in services. This network of hubs and spokes will work towards addressing these gaps. They will offer help at set times including from drop-ins delivered by organisations such as Citizens Advice and from statutory services that provide support with housing, special educational needs and disability services.
