Mindline Somerset: If you need support with your mental health, you can contact Mindline Somerset any time, day or night, locally on 01823 276 892 or 0800 138 1692.
Kooth: Support for ages 11 – 18+ (Up to 25 if care leaver/SEND). Commissioned by Somerset ICB and offering messaging support via an app. Lots of advice and guidance are available on their website. Shout: National website for all ages. Get help – free, 24/7, confidential mental health text support service – Shout 85258
Samaritans: Probably more appropriate for adults. Offers good advice and guidance, and a well-known service. Chat with us online – Contact a Samaritan.
Recommended physical support offers
Village Agent Service – Thrive (Community Council for Somerset)
The Village Agent service supports anyone who needs additional support during difficult and worrying times. This includes support for adults and staff.
You can access your local Village Agent through one of their Talking Cafes:
- Every Monday 10am to 12 noon at Minehead Methodist Church
- Every Tuesday 1pm to 3pm at Williton Pavilion
- Every Thursday 10.30am to 12.30pm at Fisher Mead Community Centre, Dulverton

Minehead Eye – Community Hub Drop In
A space for anyone (families, residents and staff) to drop in for a hot or cold drink, company and if needed, support with access to emotional support from Minehead Eye and Young Somerset trauma-informed trained staff.
Open 7 days per week, 10am to 6pm on a drop-in basis.
This offer will run for the duration of the school holidays.
