The Health Connections Manager who attended the recent Neighbourhood Teams meeting in Mendip, kindly sent in some feedback on her experience and how important these meetings are to connect services.

What I found most useful about the meeting was:

The opportunity to hear from some key services within and across our community in terms of their current challenges and priorities, I was not aware of all of these services prior to the meeting.

The opportunity to mingle with individuals who I had known of but never met face-to-face, this enables greater partnership and collaborative working.

Taking time to consider some of the common challenges and brainstorm with a diverse mix of colleagues, this diversity ensured we came up with new ideas, I feel it would have been beneficial to spend more time on this activity – we had only scratched the surface.
