Upcoming Neighbourhood Meetings

Often convenened by the Connect Somerset Champions. The meetings provide an opportunity for multi agency practitioners to come together to network, strengthen professional relationships, to troubleshoot together and to share learning.

1. Bridgwater Neighbourhood Team

Bridgwater is a vibrant and growing town in Somerset, known for its strong community spirit and rich cultural heritage.

2. Chard, Langport, Ilminster and Crewkerne Neighbourhood Team

Chard, Langport, Ilminster, and Crewkerne are rural areas with many small villages.

3. Frome Neighbourhood Team

Frome has a population of 28,000. While it is known for being a thriving and creative community, it also has some of the highest levels of deprivation in Somerset.

4. Mendip Neighbourhood Team

Mendip is a mix of a town and scattered village locations. The town has areas of deprivation and a predominantly white British population.

5. North Sedgemoor Neighbourhood Team

North Sedgemoor is made up of rural towns and villages. The area is popular with tourists, so there are many jobs during the tourist season.

6. Wincanton, Castle Cary and Bruton Neighbourhood Team

Wincanton, Castle Cary, and Bruton have a mix of social and economic areas. Many jobs in these towns are low-skill and low-wage.

7. South Petherton and Somerton Neighbourhood Team

South Petherton and Somerton are rural communities with an older population which are at the southern end of the Somerset Levels.

8. Taunton Neighbourhood Team

Taunton is a diverse, educational, and naturally ambitious town that beautifully blends history, culture, and community spirit.

9. Wellington and Wiveliscombe Neighbourhood Team

Wellington and Wiveliscombe are home to around 27,200 people living in 11,900 households. Nearly all the population (97%) is white British.

10. West Mendip Neighbourhood Team

West Mendip Neighbourhood is made up of the city of Wells, Glastonbury town the Village of Street, and the surrounding villages and hamlets.

11. West Somerset Neighbourhood Team

West Somerset is a beautiful, safe, and friendly place. However, it has some challenges for the community and young people.
